Castletown Festival

Picnic in the park and Sports Day Sunday 22nd June 2003

Several hundred people turned up to enjoy the fun and activities in Poulsom Park this Sunday. After a rather cloudy start the weather co-operated and the sun came out to create the perfect atmosphere for a day of fun. The crowds enjoyed the various activities, rides on the train and the bouncy castle. Entertainment was provided by the Manx Jazz Aces and there were sporting contests for all ages. There were lots of picnics and barbecues in action as well as stalls selling food, ice cream and bric a brac.

At 4.00pm the MAWCH Frog Frolic was launched into the river. The winning frogs were: 1st: 446 2nd: 211 3rd: 790
